About the Job

The IC Lead is part of the Inventory Control team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: 

Provide guidance and leadership to the Inventory Control team by:

  • Monitoring workload and workflows including Inbound and Outbound IC, Consolidation, Order Picking, and Replenishment.
  • Completing a beginning of shift plan of volume and hours as well as an end of shift wash against the plan.
  • Auditing that IC associates are clocked into the appropriate work function.
  • Ensuring a detailed hand off is sent for the following IC shift.
  • Assist in training new IC associates for IC processes.
  • Proper movement of inventory with use of powered equipment.
  • Answering questions to help resolve issues.
  • Leading a continuous improvement culture.
  • Emphasizing safe practices.
  • Working with data to prioritize LPK’s and make inventory moves accordingly.
  • Providing ongoing training and educational support to staff
  • Identify performance issues and report concerns to management.
  • Identify opportunities to recognize employees and support the values and culture of the organization.
  • Lift and move totes up to 49 pounds each.
  • Regular bending, lifting, stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head.
  • Walking in the FC and around area with great frequency.
  • Continual standing and/or walking an average of 5 miles daily.
  • Able to access all areas of building (ascending and descending ladders, stairs, gangways safely and without limitation).

Requirements

  • Must be willing to learn to operate PIT equipment
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and Thor system
  • Detail oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Approachable – willingness to answer associate questions
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills required
