About the Position

As a UX/UI Designer for Walmart, you will design groundbreaking products and tools for Walmart’s US Retail organization. This role is part of the Digital Acceleration organization and operates at the omnichannel intersection of stores and ecommerce. Our mission is

to deliver a great experience for our customers no matter how or where they shop. You will build best-in-class tools for Walmart Associates to use to engage with all of our Suppliers: from Coca-Cola to the local artisan looking to sell products produced in their garage. From ideation to prototyping and testing, you will design the tools and craft user workflows that focus on delightful, easy to use experiences.

Thousands of Walmart Associates and Suppliers use our tools daily to manage their business, to ensure their products are available to the millions of daily shoppers looking for them. And they will rely on the tools you design to do it all. Significant responsibility, creativity, technical expertise and business sense are required.

In This Role, You Will

  • Have a client-first approach in driving design vision and strategy for the Walmart Supplier and Associate journey with a focus on simple, intuitive tools
  • Work cross-functionally with product and engineering teams to represent the design team and give feedback in product and planning meetings
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative user research, interviews, usability testing, and other research methods and data analysis techniques to make informed recommendations for UX/UI
  • Collect and analyze KPI's to make iterative UX/UI improvements
  • Create wireframes, flows, comps, prototypes, and production assets to effectively communicate interaction and design work and validate ideas

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in UI/UX Design, Interaction Design, or equivalent experience
  • BS/MS in Visual Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Industrial Design, or related field
  • Strong experience with end-to-end application (web, desktop, or mobile) design
  • Deep experience partnering with product managers to develop the strategy and design for new systems and features
  • Experience working with diverse teams in a dynamic, rapidly-growing environment
  • Solid prototyping experience to explore and communicate design decisions/front-end development, HTML/CSS, Sketch, Axure, Adobe Illustrator or similar
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating work user experience, interaction design, and visual design required (please be sure to submit a link to your portfolio with your application)
  • Experience in retail is preferred
  • Experience with analytical tools is preferred
