What you'll do at

The Marketing Copywriter will work within our creative department and across the company to develop compelling marketing messaging on Art.com and in all forms of marketing collateral.

Main Duties/Tasks:

  • Write on-brand marketing copy including digital ads, emails, print, and other online content that fulfills clear customer behavior objectives
  • Collaborate with graphic designers and other team members to create winning ad campaigns with measurable results
  • Execute messaging on site and in collateral using various platforms and tools

Job Requirements:

  • Write engaging, effective and memorable headlines and copy
  • Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
  • Edit copy quickly, prescriptively, and within house style guidelines
  • Effectively and clearly convey ideas and show leadership
  • Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems

Key qualifications:

  • Thorough understanding of digital marketing as it applies to retail websites
  • Keen ability to write succinct, creative copy and headlines against a marketing strategy
  • Leverages consumer insights in creating advertising concepts
  • Top-notch editing skills – killer of darlings
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can quickly turn around great work
  • Compassionate, self-aware team player
  • Ad agency experience as part of the creative team

Experience:

  • Nice-to-have, not required. BA or higher degree from a college or university, emphasis on advertising preferred
  • 3+ years of experience writing proven successful marketing copy, especially digital advertising
  • 3+ years working in a professional marketing/agency/advertising setting
