We are a scrappy and entrepreneurial team building cutting edge technology from our office in Greenpoint, Brooklyn with access to the resources of the world’s largest retailer. 

What we’re looking for: 

Walmart InHome is looking for an entrepreneurial, hard-working Support Engineer to join our team as we bring our service to market. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about the details and strives for quality and robust products to delight our customers. 

On a day-to-day basis, you'll work alongside engineering, product, operations, and customer support to investigate, diagnose, and help fix customer and internal issues 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Respond quickly to support requests from our operations and customer support teams 
  • Investigate and diagnose issues, escalating to the relevant engineering team(s) when applicable 
  • Resolve issues quickly to keep our service running smoothly 
  • Work with engineering and product teams to eliminate recurring issues 
  • Coordinate on-call rotation for off-hours engineering support 
  • Document known issues and recovery procedures for use by on-call engineers 
  • Work with engineering and product teams to understand upcoming releases and their associated risks 
  • Track open issues and share periodic updates with impacted teams 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field of study 
  • 3+ years’ experience developing or supporting web and mobile services 
  • Development experience with JavaScript/Node, Java, Swift, and/or Kotlin, and working knowledge of software/tools used to develop in these languages 
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player 
  • Good communicator via written, verbal and presentation
