Walmart Media Group (the digital ad sales arm for Walmart.com, Jet, Hayneedle, Online Grocery, Vudu, etc.) is dedicated to driving measurable outcomes for our suppliers, merchants, stores, GMs, brand advertisers, and agencies. Our full funnel ad solutions leverage Walmart’s in-store and online data, extensive reach, and to provide measurable results for our clientele. With a range of flexible pricing and buying models, including self-service; these solutions help businesses build brand awareness, engage with Walmart consumers, and convert Walmart consumers to shoppers.

Walmart Media Group is seeking experienced partner management professionals to help build and sell Walmart Media Group’s advertising solutions to our key partners benefiting from our proven conversion driven and brand building solutions. You’ll contribute to a high-caliber team in a business that is experiencing rapid and dramatic growth. We are looking for demonstrated performance in a constantly changing, ambiguous environment; and problem-solving leadership with limited oversight.

The Head of WMG’s Partner Developer Program will provide ongoing consultative business support to key marketing partners to help grow their businesses while assuring end client success. This role also leads and drives special projects that influence the overall adoption of various business to business technologies and services. You may serve developers building marketing technology integrations across various WMG APIs and technologies (including ads, commerce, & messaging). S/he will build and lead a high-caliber team in a business that is experiencing rapid and dramatic growth. We are looking for a strong leader who has demonstrated success dealing with ambiguity, managing teams and problem-solving. Ideal candidates will have business development/partnership experience and passion for partners, products and people.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the main point-of-contact/quarterback
  • Build, develop, retain and motivate team while recruiting for new members and continually raising the bar for talent and capabilities
  • Increase the effectiveness of the team by recognizing opportunities for new approaches
  • Coordinate with other teams, prioritizing their involvement, needs and activation
  • Drive product adoption and provide ongoing education about new and existing WMG ad products and encourage innovation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional colleagues to provide consultative services to WMG sales and account management teams whose clients are implementing partner solutions/tools in market
  • Be the thought leader at WMG by funneling WMG Partners Developer Program/platform insights and product feedback, influencing roadmaps where necessary
  • Be the advocate for Partners with Sales, work with teams domestically to both assist in development of growth strategies for priority global sales accounts, and develop or join existing SMB Programs to drive scaled growth
  • Work with Sales Ops to set goals, actively measure impact of initiatives and ensure alignment with broader business teams
  • Lead strategic and technical product development integration efforts from concept to launch. Work closely with other teams to prioritize a structure partnerships based on a shared roadmap

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with WMG partner engineers, product marketers, product managers and others to achieve quarterly and yearly goals for partner set
  • Track, analyze, and report key quantitative metrics both day-to-day and in quarterly business review format
  • Identify trends and evolving needs, develop programmatic tools and resources to improve efficiency
  • Gather partner feedback to enhance the WMG Partners Developer program and the developer experience
  • Generally, some local travel with occasional regional based events/meetings
  • During partner reviews (held twice per year) extensive travel for 1-2 weeks

Minimum Qualification

  • 10+ years of client facing experience in partner management, account management, or technical sales
  • Experience developing working relationships at all levels of management, internally and externally
  • Experience leading performing teams and mentoring others
  • Sales, business development, consulting and product management experience
  • Quantitative/analytical experience
  • Project management experience, including multitasking to lead and execute multiple projects in parallel

Preferred Qualification

  • Knowledge of API developer products, innovation, technology, and online marketing
  • Ability to translate complexity into action plans and communications
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with peers and managers, both internally/externally
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
  • BA/BS with excellent academic performance (or equivalent experience), advanced degree
  • Deep passion building great products, startups, developer/partner ecosystem and the business of innovation
  • Experience in leading marketing campaigns
  • Experience working with large datasets
