JOB DESCRIPTION

This position is responsible for overseeing project management for the creative team on Art.com and Allposters.com. The PM will create company briefs, scope, plan, resource and track projects ranging from e-commerce needs and marketing campaigns to direct-mail to managing web properties. They will be a part of the marketing team, but also work cross-functionally with Merchandise, Direct Mail, Front-End Dev and Product teams. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Serve as main point-of-contact on all creative projects
  • Identify roles and responsibilities within projects, develop and manage project timelines, detail workflow execution, ensuring deliverables are on time and on target
  • Partner with Art Director to scope additional contractors if needed 
  • Clearly communicate expectations and action items throughout the project life cycle for all contributors within Creative team and Requesters
  • Identify and articulate risks and concerns with management and stakeholders with solutions-oriented mindset

Main areas of focus include:

SCHEDULING

  • Manage end-to-end project life cycle from briefing, creative development to delivery for marketing, merchandising and direct mail projects, spanning digital and print
  • Establish timelines and benchmarks with business leaders for project delivery
  • Host kick-off meetings, brainstorming sessions, and creative ideation presentations
  • Queue creative projects in Basecamp and align to business strategy
  • Partner with Merchandising to properly manage promotion campaign schedule

SCOPING

  • Strategize creative needs with business leaders and connect stakeholders with overlapping needs 
  • Maintain knowledge of project timelines for tech, design and coding projects
  • Evaluate all brief submissions for completeness and viability
  • Assess risks and drive key project decisions related to scope during process

REPORTING

  • Report ongoing project status updates for use by all levels of business management team
  • Communicate business strategies and goals to team members for each project
  • Act as communication conduit between cross functional teams aligning each groups goals and strategies
  • Review draft and final project deliverables to ensure alignment with project brief and improve quality control
  • Analyze individual staff workload and process, striving for healthy team member participation and morale

WHO YOU ARE

  •  3+ years of experience in a project management role, working closely with Creatives (i.e. designers, copywriters, production studio) and Requesters
  • 1+ year experience in e-commerce environment
  • Understanding of the creative process and web development process
  • Interest in streamlining and simplifying workflow  
  • Technical knowledge in digital production, print production, web and multimedia
  • Brings a high level of organizational, tactical and communication skills to all interactions; advises staff on creative projects; participates in new business efforts as needed; proactively provides feedback and constructive suggestions to teams/peers.
  • Strong organization skills, project timeline development and prioritization skills
  • Ability to partner with others to quickly understand business issues/needs and develop analyses and answers
  • Working knowledge of how to use Adobe Creative Suite, Basecamp, Google Drive, and Microsoft Excel
  • Bachelor’s degree with a major in marketing, communications, business or other closely related areas.
