About the Role

Responsibilities
  • Support Centralized Merchandising Business Processes and Operations by owning/developing centralized Merchandising workstreams
  • Identify and build on areas of opportunities for reporting, support, and innovation, including:
    • Optimization of on-site product presentation and catalog data, and drive requirements into the search and browse experience – Taxonomy, Navigation,Tagging, Attributes
    • Optimization of category teams’ inventory position (overstock sell through, cube space in the FCs)
    • Optimization of forecasting and planning for the category teams, with the goal of improving financial performance
    • Optimization of the product sourcing mix across manufacturers, distributors and third-party retailers
    • Ensure holistic price competitiveness/adherence
    • Evolve and elevate the category teams’ assortment strategy by identifying assortment gaps and opportunities
    • Collaborate with marketing, functional leadership, and cross-functional teams (e.g. Categories, Customer Experience, Merchandising) to develop category solutions
    • Own relationships with vendors and external business partners

Management

  • Provide and support the implementation of business solutions
  • Supervise 2-4 Category Analytics Specialists
  • Provide supervision and development opportunities for associates
  • Build and lead a team to execute on business area or category objectives
  • Coach team members and provide feedback to enhance skills, knowledge and work performance
  • Conduct performance and career development conversations, if applicable
  • Maintain team motivation and engagement
  • Mentor associates

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or related field
  • 4 years' experience in retail, ecommerce, data analytics or related field
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Information Systems, or related field
