Department Summary

As the nucleolus to the Walmart eCommerce shopping experience, the Retail Core Engine is dedicated to solving complex and exciting challenges that will redefine the ecommerce experience and empower internal retail users. The Flight Deck tool provide our Retail teams with the insights, data and capabilities they need to manage each segment of their business. In this role, you will be a central part of the Product team that delivers these solutions to thousands of users across the Retail organization.

Position Summary

As a Product Manager, you will work with various stakeholders and technical teams to create daily-use product features that thousands of people rely on, and work with technical teams to enable development on the Flight Deck platform.  You will vet and validate product opportunities and create a plan to build, test, iterate and ship product. You will work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Retail team, Designers, Analytics and other teams in the organization.

In This Role, You Will

  • Define product strategy
  • Build an effective roadmap and define user stories that support business objectives and user needs
  • Work closely with engineering and cross functional stakeholders
  • Understand and troubleshoot technical issues
  • Make ongoing recommendations to resolve issues in category tools
  • Create internal communications and product documentation to drive
  • Measure, learn and iterate following feature delivery
  • Serve as an internal and external evangelist for your product

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in eCommerce, operations and/or analytics (Product Management experience a plus)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems, or equivalent
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation abilities
  • Strong problem solving and conceptual thinking abilities
  • History of fostering strong cross-functional relationships between engineering and business stakeholders alike
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment
  • Strong execution skills and ability to “drive” throughout the product lifecycle, from concept to launch

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Passionate about the Walmart.com customer
  • Experience working with data warehouse platforms and API development
  • Experience with relational databases and/or SQL
  • Analytical and data driven – you live for data to power your decision making
  • Driven and self-motivated - you can hit the ground running with minimal supervision
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field a plus
