Position Summary:
The role of the PMO Manager is to help lead the organization through the deployment of various continuous improvement methodologies, techniques, tools, and processes. The PMO Manager will also drive various cross-functional programs that are essential to the transformation of the organization. The overall role requires a strong set of Project Management and Communication skills; the ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives and manage competing priorities. Use of Lean Thinking, Six Sigma or similar process design methodologies is required.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Drive & align on metrics that will create world-class competitiveness by partnering with business leads & teams to understand key KPI’s & align those KPI’s back to business requirements inputs
  • Collaborate across all functional domains within Marketplace to understand pain points & product priorities. Serve as the main point-of-contact on joint business projects
  • Process map key processes or strategies, identify pain points, establish consensus on improvement actions, and execute improvements that continually aggressively drive key KPI’s
  • Gather constraints from project managers, engineering and functional leaders for needed help for existing projects and gather business requirements for new projects
  • Manage end-to-end project life cycle and partner with cross-functional teams for identification and coordination of dependencies with other teams across the organization and supporting functions
  • Identify roles and responsibilities within projects, develop and manage project timelines, detail workflow execution, ensuring deliverables is on time and target
  • Communicate expectations and action items throughout the project life cycle for all stakeholders within Marketplace
  • Identify and articulate risks and concerns with management and stakeholders with a solutions-oriented mindset
  • Lead project kick-off and follow up meetings with stakeholders and cross-functional business teams
  • Think strategically about communication to negotiate project schedules, manage expectations, educate stakeholders and resolve issues

Requirements:

  •  5+ years of PMO or Program/Project Management experience
  • Program management experience in a retail or consumer-web company
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, collaboration and written/verbal communication skills
  • Track-record of effectively managing teams to complete time-sensitive large-scale projects with moderate guidance
  • Be a demonstrated self-starter and work well within a highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary team
  • Show a clear ability to work autonomously, dealing with ambiguity with solid decision-making skills in a rapidly growing and changing environment
  • Superior project timeline development, risk assessment, and prioritization skills
  • Seasoned at managing multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment under pressure
  • Ability to simplify complex projects and articulate direction
  • Ability to facilitate and align roadmaps, and manage disparate tasks with varying priorities
  • Ability to negotiate and resolve conflict smoothly and without formal authority
  • Solid ability to identify and mitigate risk with senior business leadership
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to influence decision-makers across the organization
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with a strong bias for action
  • A curious nature coupled with the ability to execute.
  • Strong leadership skills & presence is required

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum five (5) years of project management, consulting, or related business experience.
  • Key required skills: SQL, MS-Excel, MS-PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of process management/improvement, Lean Thinking, Six Sigma methodologies preferred and history of improving processes
