What you'll do at

The Technical API Manager, Partnership will be working with our strategic API partners to integrate our Sponsored Product offering to their platform. You will develop and grow relationships with our API partner developer teams and work to understand their business and product. You will also work very closely with our Sales Partnership and Product teams to onboard new API partners, roll out new features, and collect product feedback.

The ideal candidate has deep experience in advertising solutions as a technical account manager, sales engineer or technical consultant and has understanding of sponsored products, and a keen sense for a great customer experience and how to measure improvements against it. They have the ability engage with external customers to discover the true requirements underlying feature requests, can separate the signal from the noise, recommend alternative technical and business approaches to come up with creative and optimal solutions for partners and for Walmart. This role is an opportunity to make a significant impact on the future vision for Walmart sponsored ads.


  • Deeply understand the Walmart WPA platform and the Sponsored Product API
  • Provide solutions to product and API-related questions raised through partner engagements
  • Collaborate with API Partner Lead (Sales Partnership) to deliver customized technical presentations and product demonstrations to partners
  • Identify key product architecture components, propose and help partners build solutions that unblock integrations
  • Act as a conduit between product/engineering and partners, influencing the product roadmap by identifying and informing on insights, challenges and strategic opportunities and helping Walmart to build a product that meets partner needs


  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Demonstrated experience and success leading impactful, cross-functional projects
  • 5+ years of experience in Online advertising
  • 5+ years of Strategic Partnership Management experience
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and generate innovative solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  •  Strong business acumen
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment


  • Experience in bringing technology products to market in a fast-paced environment
  • Relevant product management/relationship management work experience in the online industry
  • Experience in ad serving, search engines, SEO/SEM
  • Experience with CPC advertising and paid search marketing
