Position Summary:

Walmart.com’s Photo & Personalized businesses are one of our fastest growing, committed to constantly meeting the imaging and creative assortment needs of customers. Position Description:

The Product Design role operates holistically across all ecommerce levers including business development/M&A, marketing, merchandising, and technology, to scale innovation and product development on Walmart.com. The Product Design Associate will be responsible for curating and executing an assortment of photo products that customers love, drive revenue growth across our category and report on that performance to our partners/team mates. 

This role is heavily cross-functional, requiring working knowledge and coordination with merchandising, marketing, operations, finance, product management and engineering teams. Candidates will be expected to understand how to use technology to help drive future enhancements and define requirements for technology platforms in order to meet business needs. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Own and drive creative product design decision making across all Walmart dot com properties
  • Curate and optimise our assortment, both emerging and established design, that help deliver against business goals
  • Contribute to Joint Annual Business Plans (JBPs) by aligning financial targets with our partners, identifying opportunities based on internal and external insights and data, and securing marketing placements
  • Continuously monitor partner sales performance; identify and action levers to improve performance and provide internal reporting on key metrics to effectively communicate the performance of the business
  • Partner with the Photo & Personalized category teams, to identify near and future photo and creative business opportunities to increase selection, assortment, and minimize customer experience friction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in product, content, search, site merchandising, marketing and partner operations teams to successfully launch, troubleshoot and grow product and design partnerships
  • Contributes to the alignment of multiple cross-functional teams to ensure the achievement of business objectives
  • Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or minimum of 5 years equivalent work experience
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to persuade, communicate vision and motivate people at every level within Walmart and partner organizations
  • Strong project management, analytical and quantitative ability to drive strong commercial outcomes for both Walmart.com and our partners
  • Passion for serving our customers and partners and understanding their needs
  • Performs well in an environment with competing priorities, multiple projects, and a virtual team
  • Detail-oriented and strong follow-through with a collaborative working style
  • Positive, upbeat, can-do attitude. Thrives with minimal guidance and can handle ambiguity and changing requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Online ecommerce experience
  • Basic querying skills; SQL a plus, Advanced Excel skills a plus
  • Experience with contract negotiations and reviewing legal agreements
  • Can lead, collaborate, and thrive in a dynamic environment, demonstrate and foster innovative thinking, learn and use the latest tools and technology to analyze data and insights at scale – and above all else, think every day about how best to meet the needs of our customers
