What you will do

As the Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) Manager, you will be part of a team responsible for developing, implementing and measuring initiatives that leverage diversity and promote inclusion within the Walmart eCommerce brand portfolio.  As a member of the People Experience team, you’ll partner with key leaders and the following teams: People, Talent Acquisition and Communications to build and support D&I priorities that enhance our business and shape our culture.


Position Description

Across a unique brand portfolio, you will:

  • Support, lead and measure D&I programs and initiatives to drive the attraction, retention and engagement of our employees
  • Act as a lead liaison for our Associate (Employee) Resource Groups (ARGs) to help develop strategy, engage membership and drive employee
  • Be an internal resource for the People Experience team to help find D&I solutions that can enhance our business
  • Review people data insights and participate in proactive solutions
  • Identify D&I partnership opportunities, thought leaders and peer organizations to enhance our efforts
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to develop an ARG referral program to increase external applicants
  • Increase D&I awareness by participating in the roll out of D&I education programs
  • Collaborate with brand marketing and communications teams to promote visibility of our diversity initiatives both internally and externally
  • Inspire commitment and D&I participation across the organization through strategic partnerships and communications


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university
  • 5+ years of experience in Diversity & Inclusion or Human Resources/Management Consulting, Change Management or a related area
  • Strong, clear and persuasive written communication
  • Exceptional presentation skills; comfortable collaborating with senior leaders and influencers
  • A demonstrated passion for the D&I field or advocacy efforts
  • Highly collaborative with the ability to own projects to successful completion
  • Solid project management skills, highly organized and detail oriented
  • Strong relationship builder
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Minimal travel as needed


Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree or D&I certification
  • People management, development and mentoring experience
  • Experience successfully building corporate engagement, diversity and/or inclusion programs
  • Marketing experience, Social Media/website management experience is a plus
  • Strong research skills
