What you'll do at
Jet is looking for a collaborative, organized and fun Human Resources Manager to join our Talent Business Partner team. This role is key to ensuring a brilliant employee experience for our entire Dublin office. You’ll be an integral part of the team, so you’ll need to understand every aspect of the business and be a thought leader regarding People and Organizational topics. It’s your role to work very closely with the HR team based in the United States to execute on the end-to-end People Strategy that will support our employees and the business. This will require you to think big, use data to guide your work, and be comfortable challenging convention.
Additionally, the Human Resources Manager is responsible for consulting and providing counsel/recommendations to leaders and managers while resolving issues or general complaints.
This position will report directly to the Director, HR Business Partner whom is based out of the Hoboken, NJ Walmart eCommerce location, and will work closely with the Manager, Employee Relations who is also based out of Hoboken, NJ.
What you’ll be working on
- You’ll partner with Dublin’s Site Lead, as well as Jet.com’s Technology Site Lead to execute and implement HR priorities to drive the business
- You’ll provide insightful data to guide decision making and provide proactive solutions.
- You’ll be active in driving alignment of objectives, work and communications across the organization by working closely with various HR leaders.
- You’ll strengthen the leadership teams by providing coaching and counsel to senior leaders to further develop their leadership capability.
- You’ll partner with technology leaders to design and build organizational capability to delivering the objectives of the businesses.
- In partnership with other teams this role will be responsible for investigating concerns and complaints while ensuring a resolution has been met that meets policy and business needs, as well as driving performance management and improvement.
- Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions that support business workflows and growth to the organization
- Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity
- Partners with managers, associates, legal counsel, and HRBP in administering company policies and procedures
- Documents and reports employee relations activities and shared trends and patterns with appropriate client leaders and the Manager, Employee Relations
- Ensures compliance with employee-related policies, procedures, and local laws and regulations
- Facilitate educational sessions related to feedback and performance improvement
- Maintain data integrity through various system audits
- Maintain accurate and consistent employee personnel files and other related HR files
- Run scheduled reports and share with relevant teams across Jet and Walmart.
You have a passion for Human Resources and Employee Relations. You want to be a part of one of the fastest growing ecommerce companies around where the only constant is change and you have these main skills:
- Familiarity with managing multiple competing priorities while engaging with varied partners across the organization
- Ability to make decisions in partnership with HR/Legal stakeholders
- Experienced in stakeholder collaboration and a trusted thought partner
- Ability to use good to great judgment in difficult situations and be confident in decision making to final outcome
- Experience with document review and effectively communicating policies and practices
- Demonstrated ability to work within constraints as well as to challenge the status quo.
- Demonstrated high emotional intelligence a plus
- Strong conflict management skills. Ability to navigate a matrixed organization.
- Be self-directed and motivated. Strong interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of progressive HR experience
- Working Logistics: occasional travel to our US HQ may be required
- Knowledge of Irish employment law, compliance, employee relations subject matter expertise required
- Familiarity and experience with HRIS, case management tracking systems and methods to track and analyze data

- Name, address and postcode - We need this to send you all of the recruitment information.

- Contact telephone numbers - If there are any problems with your application, or we have to clarify anything with you, we need to be able to contact you quickly. Again, we certainly won’t call you for any other reason.
- Your application – Well, we definitely need this so we can assess you. Such personal information will include details of your skills (including education, professional qualifications and training), employment history and referees. You should only provide the personal information required by our application template. This template includes a question about any adjustments that may be required should you be invited for an interview or assessment.
- Criminal records checks – For some roles, we might need to enquire about previous criminal convictions or carry out criminal records checks which are relevant to the role. If this is necessary, we’ll make you aware of this as early in the recruitment process as possible.
- Sensitive personal information relating to your gender, race or ethnic origin, religion or belief, age bracket, details of any disability and sexual orientation is requested for the purpose of monitoring the effectiveness of our Equal Opportunities policy. This information is held in anonymous form and is not directly accessible by Jet.
- Basic documentation checks. We are required by law to make basic documentation checks on every candidate. Please note that we’ll ask you to provide documentation of your eligibility to work in the UK if you’re invited to attend the next stage of the recruitment process with us. How we use the information we collect
The personal information you provide will be used to:
- Process your application.
- Consider you for the position you have applied for, and any upcoming vacancies that are suitable (unless you have opted not to be contacted in respect of subsequent vacancies).
- Fulfil Jet's legal obligations.
- Carry out internal record keeping.
- Provide general information (which does not identify individuals) and statistics to help Jet develop its websites and services.

Who we share the information with

Processing by third parties
In order to carry out the steps set out above we may send your personal information outside of the European Economic Area and, if necessary, across international borders. The data protection laws in these countries may not be as comprehensive as in the European Economic Area. However, we have taken appropriate steps to make sure the same level of protection for the processing carried out in these countries as within the European Economic Area. Any details you provide may be electronically sent to the US to our parent company Walmart Inc., which helps us in running our websites. However, any such information will be dealt with in accordance with the Irish Data Protection Acts 1988 and 2003.
Storage of data
We will not store your personal information for any longer than we need to. However, we may be obliged by law to store your communications and personal information including activity logs and we may need to show details of these to government or authorised officials upon request. Like many websites, we use log files to monitor the effectiveness of our online marketing programmes.
How long do we keep your information?
Successful candidate information will be transferred onto their employee personnel record and will be held for the time they are employed by Jet and an additional 7 years once they leave the business.
Unsuccessful candidate information will be held for one year following the application to allow for the candidate to appeal the decision.
Potential candidates held with our candidate relationship management database will be retained for 12 months after the last contact and be given the opportunity through the process to remove their information if they choose to do so.
