Demonstrates up-to-date expertise in Material Handling Automation technologies, layout or system design, and process flow in an eCommerce or related retail/wholesale warehouse environment. Has managed complex multi-million dollar automation projects throughout the entire Project Lifecycle: Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring and Controlling, and Closure.
Manages medium to high dollar, high complexity, Material Handling Automation or Logistics Engineering projects by creating effective Project Plans, utilizing all or some of the Project Management Knowledge Areas:
- Scope Management

- Communications Management
- Risk Management
- Procurement Management
- Stakeholder Management.
Manages the analysis and design of new or existing Fulfillment Centers and processes (for example, material flow, transportation) by applying industry technologies, equipment, and material handling solutions; partnering with key vendors to benchmark industry best practices; collaborating with key internal teams (for example, Operations management, Information System Division (ISD)) to gain project support and operational insight; assembling financial analyses and justifications; and presenting project ideas and designs to senior leadership for approval.
Works closely with Vendors to design solutions that drive operational efficiencies, including but not limited to labor reduction, capacity expansion, and throughout improvements. Develops the Scope of Work and the Statement of Work with Vendors and Internal Customers and Stakeholders. Works closely with Legal and Contracts Team to develop and approve Vendor Contracts. Manages all aspects of the Project Budget, including initiating request for funding, PO generation and overall Cost Management. Manages Vendors throughout the entire project lifecycle, holding them accountable to delivering project objectives on time and within budget.
Manages Engineering Changes by defining the problems, identifying the solutions, and communicating the business justification to the Leadership Team. Tracks Project Performance and manages all project related issues and risks to ensure projects are meeting business and financial goals. Actively travels to Project sites to manage vendor deployments, and ensures operational needs are being met while minimizing operational impact.
Drives the communication Plan and is a vocal leader that demonstrates a bias for action. Understands the importance of Stakeholder management and can communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, including Senior Executives.
Identifies and assists in overseeing the implementation of business initiatives to reduce operating expenses within the supply chain organization by applying traditional industrial engineering techniques (for example, work measurements, process improvement) to build operations improvement plans; collaborating with key cross functional teams (for example, operations, logistics systems) to ensure project timelines and milestones are identified and coordinated.
Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.
Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices.

Works in areas requiring exposure to varying temperatures, extreme heat or cold, and/or wet, damp, or drafty conditions.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or other Technical Engineering discipline with minimum of 2 years of field experience in a Manufacturing or Operations environment
- Master's Degree in Engineering or related
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- 5+ years in Technical role, ie Engineering or Project Management
- 3+ years in Management / Leadership role
