The Analytics Manager will be responsible for leading the team’s analytics program by utilizing applied statistical methods to help better understand how customers react to different experiences on Jet.com. The ideal candidate has an inquisitive mindset and a passion for using data to find answers to difficult questions.

What You Will Do

  • Take ownership of experimentation analytics and continue to evolve the program’s standards and best practices
  • Lead a team of Data Analysts that provide analytics requirements, draw insight from experiment data and provide actionable recommendations for internal stakeholders
  • Support Jet.com’s 1st party experimentation platform by providing requirements for new features and enhancements
  • Collaborate with product management and other members of the larger analytics team on exploratory analyses to identify key areas or experiences on the site that can be optimized
  • Ensure experiment data quality by building, maintaining and improving data integrations between internal and external tools
  • Provide training and best practices as the experimentation program scales to more teams within the organization

Must Have

  • Minimum 4+ years of relevant work experience within eCommerce or digital analytics OR extensive experience running field experiments within a Social Science context
  • BA/BS degree in Statistics, Applied Math, Behavioral Economics, Sociology, Psychology or related fields
  • Have a strong understanding of experiment design and advance methodologies to run more experiments and get results faster without compromising data quality (Orthogonal layers, Multi-arm Bandit, etc.)
  • Ability to manipulate and draw insight from large, complex, multi-dimensional data sets (SQL, R, Python)
  • Flexibility to adapt and learn quickly about all aspects of the eCommerce business
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

Bonus points

  • Master’s degree in Statistics, Applied Math, Behavioral Economics, Sociology, Psychology or related fields
  • Prior experience using and/or supporting enhancements for a 1st party experimentation tool
  • Experience with enterprise-class experimentation and analytics platforms (Maxymiser, Adobe Analytics)
