About the Role

The Competitive Intelligence Team is responsible for developing our proprietary, in-house Competitive Intelligence System and providing intelligence that guides critical decisions across all of Walmart’s retail organization. As a key team within the broader Pricing organization, we are constantly pushing the boundary of a fundamental eCommerce capability that is vital to our mission of winning eCommerce.

You will be:

  • Responsible for defining the team’s vision and roadmap, and for leading a team of Product Managers to achieve these goals
  • Collaborating with Engineering to deliver the roadmap, maintain agility, and navigate through any set of constraints
  • Challenged to deliver innovation at scale balanced with operational frameworks to ensure consistent performance
  • Working in close partnership with leaders from Engineering, Data Science, Pricing, Retail, and other business functions across the company
  • Understanding and becoming an expert on the competitive landscape, such as competitor strategies, industry trends, etc.

Ultimately, you will be a product leader in Walmart’s Retail Core Engine with the opportunity to impact the shopping experience of hundreds of millions of customers.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead a team of product managers to build a world-class Competitive Intelligence System
  • Develop an ambitious product roadmap with input from key stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Retail, and executive leadership
  • Set the team’s metrics, and continually deliver product innovations with demonstrated impact that improve the team’s metrics
  • Translate strategic priorities into detailed technical requirements, and drive projects from start to finish on time
  • Work closely with a dedicated Competitive Intelligence Engineering team to build innovative, scalable, and reliable solutions
  • Work with our Data Science team on system optimization
  • Develop strong cross-functional relationships with Product, Engineering, and Retail leaders across the entire Walmart organization
  • Build, mentor, and develop a team of high-performing Product Managers

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6+ years of professional experience, with 3+ years of relevant product management experience
  • Prior experience leading a team of Product Managers
  • Demonstrated success in delivering software products from ideation to production and managing their continued growth
  • Strong communication skills and highly effective in cross-functional environments
  • Excellent analytical skills with demonstrated ability in developing actionable insights from large datasets
  • Proficient with SQL or other relational database query languages
  • Bachelor’s degree from a rigorous undergraduate program with demonstrated high academic achievement
