Leader- Fraud Rules and Strategy

  • Own and Manage Fraud Prevention efforts 
  • Manages and drives rules efficiency to support business, compliance, and fraud policies
  • Managing the rules-engine to reduce fraud activity and adapt rules in order to meet changing business needs;
  • Identifying gaps and areas for improvement; analyzing data in order to identify the root cause of the process issue;
  • Lead testing of rules to build improved efficiencies and processes;providing recommendations to leadership; and communicating the change and action plan to key stakeholders. 
  • Creating and implementing key performance indicators (KPIs) and establishing quality checks to ensure long-term improvement.
  • Provides expert guidance to the business regarding fraud and risk by consulting with various groups to improve risk management strategies;
  • Collaborate with departments across the company to reduce fraud and chargebacks 
  • Co-ordinate closely with Data Science teams to reduce fraud and chargebacks 
  • Review causes of chargebacks - both frauds and friendly frauds 
  • Find solutions by collaborating with Operations in all disciplines
  • Continuously improve fraud prevention based on cutting-edge knowledge
  • Eliminate wasteful non-essential cancellations in Fraud model
  • Review end-to-end process, do mapping, do automation, reduce overhead and manual dependencies in all fraud operations
  • Keep tabs on latest fraud trends by maintaining good relations with industry insiders 
  • Motivate, assist and help teams grow and learn
  • Work with Fraud Operations in the planning of new initiatives and product launches.


Required Skills:

  • Payments knowledge (understanding steps in e-commerce payment process, authentication vs. validation) 
  • Experience using Cardinal commerce, Accertify, Sift Science, or related tools
  • Strong Leadership capabilities 
  • Ability to understand larger company goals and align Fraud Prevention team to contribute accordingly


  • 8+ years’ experience in e-commerce fraud prevention 
  • 6+ years of team leadership experience 
  • Deep knowledge of payments and fraud prevention tools 

The position is based in either Hoboken, NJ, San Bruno, CA or Bentonville AR.
